Blog 12

For the final blog of this class let me tell you, I have been waiting for this one. WAITING TO WRITE ABOUT THIS SONG. For this blog I chose Hey Ya by the one and only Outkast. If you have not heard this masterpiece I think you have been living under a rock. This has been one of my all time favorite songs since I was little. Like literally 6 years old. This song is perfect truly one of the best songs ever made. Andre 3000 did what was needed to make an impact with this song. He is so amazing and he made Hey Ya! What it is. Not only is this song still played when it was made over 20 years ago but it is still LOVED. People from my generation and the generation before love Hey Ya. Everyone loves Hey Ya and rightfully so. The lyrics in this song phenomenal the beat is outstanding. This is the best dance and party songs ever made. Yeah I said it the best ever made. This song has a chokehold on me and I am proud of that. I actually judge people and determine if they are gonna be cool or not based off if they know all the words to this song. Is that morally correct? I don't know and don't care. I love this song so much it is so good and the funnest song to sing and dance and party too. If you do not like Hey Ya I don't think you like having fun. This is the one of the most iconic songs of the 2000s and of all time. It changed the rap game and Andre 3000 is one of the all time greatest for that. So, if you haven't listened to Hey Ya this week. GO! RUN! AND LISTEN BECAUSE IT IS THE GREATEST SONG MADE.

I think the tone of Andre 3000 is unique and makes this song memorable. I also like the addition of background singers for harmonies and the call and repeat in the song.
