For this week's song I choose Respect by Aretha Franklin. I love this song because of how powerful it is. This is also such an iconic song that everyone knows. If you play this song everyone will always sing the part where she spells Respect. I also think that Aretha Franklin is such an inspirational woman it makes me love this song even more. This song reminds me of my mom because she loves this song and she would always play it. I just really like this song and the message it conveys, about how women should be able to ask for more respect and be more powerful. This is a great girlboss anthem. Arthea has one of the most powerful voices of all time and that really shows in this song. She will go down in history as one of the most important and amazing R&B singers ever. This song deserves the hype it has had for so many years because it is so good! Everyone likes a good powerful song and this one is for sure that. I love this song because of the memories tied to it and how much everyone loves it. I love songs that everyone knows and gets excited when you play them and I think that this is a song like that.
I completely agree with you statement that this is an iconic song, I believe that most people have probably heard this song even if they don't know that Aretha sang this song. I also think that this song and that most of her songs are super powerful. I think this has to do with what you actually stated In you comment which is Aretha Franklin has one of the most powerful voices in the world.

I think especially in the time period this was made, women were very mistreated so it's cool to see the kind of empowerment this potentially brought to women everywhere. Aretha Franklin is also just a beast! Couldn't imagine another person singing it! Great review! Appreciate you sharing
