For this week's blog I chose Crocodile Rock by Elton John. This is honestly one of my all time favorite songs. I listen to this song in the car all the time, and I force my friends to listen to it with me too. I have loved this song since I was little. My dad is a big Elton John fan so I grew up listening to this song. Me and him still listen to this song together a lot and we always sing it together. I love Elton John he is one of my favorite artists and this is one of his best for sure. This song is so fun, from the very beginning with the piano intro this song has you hooked. And the vocals, his vocal range is insane I don't know how he hits all the high notes but it makes the song so good. This song is iconic and the piano played by Elton is iconic. I think this song will always be a favorite of peoples because of how good it is. I also love the story this song tells and just everything about it. I love this song and I loved getting to listen to it again because it holds s...

For this week's song I choose Respect by Aretha Franklin. I love this song because of how powerful it is. This is also such an iconic song that everyone knows. If you play this song everyone will always sing the part where she spells Respect. I also think that Aretha Franklin is such an inspirational woman it makes me love this song even more. This song reminds me of my mom because she loves this song and she would always play it. I just really like this song and the message it conveys, about how women should be able to ask for more respect and be more powerful. This is a great girlboss anthem. Arthea has one of the most powerful voices of all time and that really shows in this song. She will go down in history as one of the most important and amazing R&B singers ever. This song deserves the hype it has had for so many years because it is so good! Everyone likes a good powerful song and this one is for sure that. I love this song because of the memories tied to it and how much...

For this week’s blog post I listened to Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles. I chose this song because it is one of my all-time favorite songs. My dad also loves this song and every time we would talk about the Beatles my dad would play this song. I didn’t know this song until my dad showed me, after that it became one of my favorite songs. I just think that this song is so different compared to the other Beatles songs. I love the instruments in the back they have a super cool effect on the song. I also love how their vocals sound in this song, how they overlap over each other is so good. I just really like this song and I have lots of good memories with this song. I like the Beatles a lot and I think that this is my favorite Beatles song, just because of how unique it sounds compared to their others.   For this week’s listening blog, I chose Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. I love this song it is one of my favorites. It is in one of my favorite movies, Moulin Rouge So it makes me think of that which is a good memory. It is such a pretty song and has such cool music in the back. I also love the lyrics in this song, I think they are so pretty. I really love this song I had never heard the original version just the cover from the movie. As much as I love the cover from Moulin Rouge the original is better. I love Nat King Cole’s voice. His voice is so nice and calming I love it. I have always loved his voice and this song is especially good. I love how is sounds mystical in the background it is kind of otherworldly. I really like this song I would listen to it outside of class for sure. I just think it is so pretty and I have good memories associated with the movie the cover is from. I love all of Nat King Cole’s hits and I’m glad I have discovered this one now as well!

For this week’s listening blog, I chose to listen Glenn Miller’s “In the Mood”. I chose this piece because I had already heard I think everyone has heard it. It is always played at events especially with bands and dancing. This song reminds me of happy memories of swing with my high school friends at our high school’s big dancing event. This song is so fun! It really does get you in the mood to dance. It has all the elements of a big brass band that make it so fun. The loud instruments really make you want to get up and dance. I like how at the end it starts fading out but then it gets louder and starts again. It tricks you into thinking it’s over when it’s not. This song is iconic because it is used in many movies and shows. It is a fun song that truly captures the spirit of swing dancing and having fun. I always enjoy listening to this song because of the happiness it brings for me. It really does remind me of good times with my friends and dancing even if I suck at dancing. Th...
